With the equipment we have today, technique of throwing, proper loading of the rod etc. all contribute to a long throw.
Just some advice, don’t get caught up in the hype of throwing far will make you a better angler. Yes, it does count on the days you need to reach a deep gutter or bank but rather concentrate on water reading and spot fishing.
90% of anyone success comes from taking extra time to find good water and putting the right distance to that particular area. The 10% is based on sliding etc.
Right water, right fresh bait = guaranteed pulls and more fun.
